Objective

Direct and indirect measurements of residual stress parameters, from cold rolling process through to finished product, will be made during this research project. Understanding the factors involved will ensure acceptable end products after slitting or blanking. This will allow strip rolled to width to be replaced by slit wide strip which has suitable flatness criteria.
