Objective
The aim of the project is the optimum control of a steel strip heating process in a continuous annealing line using a furnace equipped with radiating tubes. A mathematical model will be developed to describe the transient heat transfer between the steel strip, the radiating tubes, the base rollers and the walls of the furnace.
