Objective

To develop a model which will describe the dynamic microstructural changes resulting from deformations which occur in duplex stainless and magnetic steels. This will be coupled with the thermodynamics of deformation in a strip rolling model and validated against experimental results. The complete model will be applied to a rolling schedule to optimise both cost and quality of the strip.
