Objective

This project will undertake the design of an industrial system to continuously inspect the surface of finishing rolls in a hot strip mill. The equipment will consist of a probe, a light source and a facility for image capture and analysis. After laboratory design, the unit will be installed on a Belgian hot strip mill for reliability trials.
