Objective The aim of this research is an extensive analysis of the loads and deformations of a rolling mill housing during production in order to establish life expectancy. Three stages are foreseen: - Modelling of the rolling mill housing using finite element calculation techniques; - Series of tests involving strain gauge measurements; - Development of a theory.
