Objective
The aim of this project is to study the practicality of using a glow discharge lamp coupled with an optical spectrometer to control non-conducting coatings on steel products. It will develop further the operating parameters of a radiofrequency lamp patented by Renault which has the potential to evaluate non-conducting coatings when coupled with an optical emission spectrometer. It will also study the mapping of concentration profiles using such techniques.
