Objective
It is a continuation of the work undertaken within the framework of agreement 7210- GA/1/104. It consists in developing a non-destructive method for determining the technical characteristics of steel (the utilization of materials) by showing the relationships, which exist between these characteristics and the physically measurable ones. The ultimate aim will be to produce a fixed-angle X-ray texture field analyzer based on mathematical relationships and on the measurement techniques to be developed. This work will be computer-assisted and carried out continuously, on wide hot-rolled strip, the thicknesses observed being between 2 mm and 5 mm.
