Effect of material toughness and size of sample on the load bearing behaviour of notched large tensile specimens

Objective

The aim of this research project is to investigate the influence of material toughness, material strength and specimen size on the load bearing capability of cracked large scale speciments with the help of experimental investigations on large scale tensile specimens. This work will be undertaken in close collaboration with projects P 2528, P 2673 and P 2622 contained in this memorandum.
