Objective

It is intended in this project to assess the correlations between Charpy V toughness and the COS, J and K values. In spite of much research, the relationship between these notions is not well established, particularly for HSLA steels and welded joints produced by submerged arc and electron beam. The project would develop data, which can be used to assess safety levels for welded structures.
