Objetivo

The aim of this research is to build on work already being undertaken by the RWTH and by British Steel in order to provide a comprehensive matrix of test data for steel plate and sections. The work will include steels at the lower limit of the steel maker's specifications in order to define structurally sound specification limits. The research will be undertaken in close collaboration with projects P 2528, P 2673 and P 2675 included in this memorandum.
