Objective
This project centres on investigations concerning the SCC-behaviour of high temperature low alloy Cr-Mo-steels. Tests will be made in boiling calcium nitrate and caustic soda solutions with various types of mechanical loading (constant load, constant strain rate with and without cyclic train). The results will assist designers to select steels for critical loading situations and improve the safety and availability of plants.
