Objective

The aim of this project is to investigate predictions concerning high temperature and acid corrosion attack. In particular, reliable information on the behaviour of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels shall be obtained. Fundamental experiments will be used to develop a computer simulation model, which will be continuously improved and which will finally provide the desired predictions of the corrosion behaviour of stainless steels.
