Objective

In this project, pre-treatment processes and methods of application for in-line organic coating of stainless steels (grades 11-13 CrTi(409); 16-18Cr(430); 18CrNi(304)) will be defined. The drawability of the metal-paint composites will be studied and compared with other organic coated steel grades. The corrosion behaviour will be studied in natural, accelerated and electrochemical laboratory tests using successive samples from laboratory trials, from semi- continuous pilot lines and coil coating lines.
