Objective
This research is aimed at evaluating and developing new film forming surface treatments applied by a roll-on coater on a hot dip Al-Zn coating line to provide anti-fingerprint protection. Low toxicity formulations (reduced chromium content) for good corrosion protection during transportation and handling will be combined with improved forming behaviour to represent a high quality pre-treatment for coil-coating and post painting.
