Behaviour of stainless steels at temperatures below 50°C

Objective

The purpose of the investigation will be to determine the incidence of low temperature stress corrosion cracking with reference to relevant environmental and material variables, and to examine the mechanisms by which such corrosion occurs. The overall aim of the programme will be to provide information to architects and engineers regarding the safe limiting conditions for the use of austenitic stainless steels such that catastrophic stress corrosion failures can be prevented in the future.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
