Objectif

The aim of the research is to study the initiation and early stages of growth of fatigue cracks in the following two classes of engineering steels : -low-and-medium-carbon steels and low-alloy steels in the quenched and tempered condition -micro-alloyed steels. The influence of the main metallurgical parameters on fatigue cracking will be investigated.
