Fatigue behaviour of HSLA steel for off-shore applications

Objective

The main aims of this research, which is an extension of previously supported work (ECSC contract 7210-KG/401) are: -provide a better understanding of the fatigue resistance of steel nodes in seawater and the role of cathodic protection; -investigate in the study an accelerated cooled steel at a wide range of thicknesses, which is being considered for offshore applications.
