Objective

In this project changes in hot and cold rolling practices and annealing practices for the production of magnetic grade steel strip (Si<1.5 %, Al<0.3 %, C<200ppm) will be studied to increase the preferred grain orientation in semi finished (i.e. before final anneal) strip to produce magnetic material with enriched (100) grain orientation and J25 polarisation values > 1.68 Tesla.
