Objective

This project is aimed at optimising the homogeneity of high carbon steels in order to obtain wire with a tensile strength greater than 5000 MPa. Particular attention will be paid to the effects of micro-alloying elements and new techniques will be developed for detecting micro- and macro-segregations.
