Objective The aim of the proposed work is to achieve economies by the development of stainless steels containing less than 2% nickel. The investigation will include studies of microstructure, mechanical properties, deep-drawing behaviour, weldability and resistance to corrosion and comparisons will be made with conventional 18/8 grade stainless steels. The work will be carried out in partnership with CSM (Rome). Other organisations associated with the project will be :-University of Coimbra (Portugal)-Welding Institute, Lisbon (Portugal)-Deltacogne, Aoste (Italy)-Terni Special Steels, Terni (Italy) Programme(s) ECSC-STEELRES 7C - Medium-term guidelines (ECSC) "technical steel research", 1986-1990 Topic(s) F3 - Special and alloy steels Call for proposal Data not available Funding Scheme Data not available Coordinator CSM - UNITA DI RICERCA DI TERNI EU contribution No data Address Viale B.
