Objective

The aim of the research is to extend data for high strength sheet steels by further studies on material behaviour under static and dynamic loading. Model structural components shall be submitted to such tests, and the effect of geometrical design and effect of different component joining methods on dent and crash behaviour will be determined. REM calculations shall predict effect of steel properties on component behaviour. Validation trials shall be performed in autobody press shops on real components.
