Objective

The aim of the research is to study a range of electro-coated steels using three classes of metallic coatings, namely zinc-manganese, dispersion and amorphous alloy coatings. A laboratory-designed electroplating simulator employing experimental conditions comparable to those currently featured on coil electroplating lines will be used to examine a broad range of parameters associated with these new and novel coatings.
