Objective

The aim of the research is to assess the fatigue performance under cathodic protection of tubular joints fabricated from higher strength TMCP steels. The most reliable means of extrapolating design curves from experimental data and the effect of residual stress on fatigue life shall be investigated. It is planned to determine if reduced scale specimens of long weld lengths can approximate to full-scale behaviour.
