Objective The objective of the project is the application of numerical and experimental tools to better control thermal cycles of steel strips in annealing lines. The project aims at reducing the number of trials and broken strips and to adapt the process for new production. The research will result in a reduction of risks of accident during these rather delicate and hazardous operations. The real and complete history of a steel strip all along an industrial annealing line will be described and explained.
