Objective

The overall objective is to enhance the control of inclusion chemistry and steel cleanness in the ladle furnace (LF). Process operations will be optimised for the production of high quality engineering steels, plates and structural steels for demanding applications. This will be done through the application of extensive plant trials and fluid flow, thermodynamic, and dynamic process simulation modelling, to control inclusion chemistry and steel cleanness in the LF.
