Objective
The overall project aim is to ensure and improve the stability of the casting process and to ensure a high and constant product quality. This objective will be reached by the application of new techniques for process and plant monitoring to detect quality influencing behaviour and by developing systems to help the operator in detecting and understanding extraordinary process states. The result of the research will be implemented into a decision support system, which will provide plant operators with necessary information for process management.
