Objective
In this project, the use of high strength steels for the plastic design of steel frameworks will be evaluated and data intended to relax the requirements for the use of these steels in Eurocode 3 will be presented. Tests will include considerations of type of loading, welding techniques, toughness, type of defects present and combinations of these factors.
