Objective
The aim of the project is to promote simple and economic design of steel buildings by enhancing the positive aspects and minimizing the negative aspects of welded or bolted semi-rigid connections between I-beams and tubular columns. The project will include testing of simple details and of overall connections, computer simulations and design recommendations.
