Objective
The aim of this research is to study whether coarse grained blast furnace and steel-making slags can be used as fertilizer for agriculture and forestry in the same way as fine grained material. In this way dust formation should be reduced and spreading may be done by helicopter. In the case of LD slags, coarse granulated material, obtained by disintegration on cooling, will be evaluated as lime fertilizer. The work will be co-ordinated with projects P2349 and P2410 included in this programme.
