Objective
The project is to build a continuous annealing pilot line for cold rolled sheets in order to test a new type of transverse flux induction heating capable of heating strip steel to the annealing temperature in a few seconds. This new technique coupled with a fast cooling section, would allow this kind of installation to be built in a much more compact manner and to reach much higher utilisation rates than in conventional continuous annealing lines.
