Electrolytic tinning: DEN-FLASH process

Objective

The aim of this project is to modify an electrolytic tinning line by incorporating neutral pickling cells with pre-cleaning. The steel strip is to be submitted to cathodic/anodic cyclic polarisation in a solution of sodium sulphate. This will create acid cleaning conditions without consuming the electrolytic and the pre-deposition of tin will avoid the strip oxidising at the exit of the pickling line.
