Improvement of the performance of the drilling and setting techniques of roof bolts under confined conditions

Objectif

This study is aimed to improve the performance of the techniques of drilling and setting of roof bolts especially under confined and very difficult conditions.

Rise headings in coal, face ends especially in small faces and works in disturbed and faulted areas are considered as difficult conditions.

- improvement of the drilling head, automation to reduce handling time

- adaptation of the flex-drill system to the enumerated conditions

- drilling with clear cater hydraulics

- acceleration of the setting techniques, use of flexible bolts and development of techniques to use quick drying adhesions.
