Geotechnical and geophysical investigation methods for sub-ground contamination on abandoned sites

Objective

The objective of this research project is to identify the influence of mining contaminants on the physical parameters of the ground with special reference to pollutants from cocking plant. It shall furthermore be investigated which measuring method and measuring devices are appropriate to evaluate the contamination in ground

- test on a laboratory scale and on a number of materials of the influence of contaminants on parameters such as conductivity, resistance and reflection

- verification of the results In the field by means of real contamination sites.
