Development of diagnosis and failure locating In order to increase the underground machinery availability

Objective

Increase the underground machinery availability and thus their running time, minimise repair costs, avoid crash situations that may occur and which are always risky for the health of the operators and for the environmental impacts by allowing the collieries to drive preventive action against damages to machinery.

This required reliable and easy to-run systems for diagnostics, monitoring and early detection.

- analysis and assessment of commercial systems in particular for drives

- suited systems testing on surface test rigs with genuine machinery

- assessment against the functioning requirements of underground mining machinery

- development of suited sensors for machine health parameters

- development of "on-line" and "Off-line" systems

- visualisation of machine status and operation cycles

- development of early damages identification and development of strategies in order to decide purposeful interferences in order to avoid total failure

- surface tests, approval for underground use, initial operations starting up.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
