Objective
To establish the correlation between accidents in an integrated stainless steel plant and the effects of parameters such as job content, new technology, newly-recruited inexperienced workers, work context, geographical and climatic factors, etc, and also subjective and human factors.
The working activity includes a lot of different tasks, some of them are considered complex and others simple, at least in appearance because if they are analyzed, they are full of interactions between man and production means.
The achievement of tasks involves not only a robot operation but also a human one, that's why the human operation complexity is added to the task complexity. In this sense, the work accident is considered as a failure in the achievement of a task, that is, a failure in the interaction between man and means in the working medium.
The research done has had the aim of studying accidents taking into account the man within the working, social and personal organization frame.
The main aim of the research has been centred on the influence of Personality on work accidents.
The second aim proposed in this research has been the study of accidents in the Factory. It is clear that this analysis on accidents is one of the references when trying to investigate the incidence of subjective causes and personality on work accidents.
The third aim proposed in this research has been to create a Historical Accident Bank (1985-1989) to be able to do a comparative study on accidents.
