This report will describe an architecture of core network for TF service delivery. It will summarise work in task T2.2.

Preliminary list of TF service categories and needs survey questions, based on the expertise of the consortium members and resulting from task 3.1.

Technology development roadmaps

This report will propose industrial technology development roadmaps for equipment for TF transfer over fibre telecommunication systems and related TF interface equipment, necessary to create a fully operational, wide range network for TF service delivery. This document will summarise work in task T2.3.

Report “Current and emerging commercial optical transport standards, with consideration of compatibility with time and frequency transfer traffic”, covering fibre-optic networking technologies currently deployed or projected by NREN as well as emerging technologies.

Fibre TF techniques

Report “Fibre-based time and frequency transfer techniques”, covering service quality and functionality, technical and operational requirements, technology readiness level and expected future use and/or development.

Overall vision for time and frequency service delivery

This report will summarise work in task T2.1. Report will describe requirements for TF service, and propose an overall Pan-European time and frequency topology for service delivery.

Report “High precision TF needs of research infrastructures”, covering the current and future needs of relevant RIs, notably NMIs, for receiving or sharing precise and accurate time and/or frequency, as determined by a survey of a representative selection of relevant RI.

TF requirements and obstacles

Report “Key time and frequency techniques, requirements and obstacles to implementation in NREN fibre networks”, relating time and frequency transfer techniques to the needs of relevant RI on the one hand and to the operating conditions of fibre communication networks on the other hand.
