Technology transfer of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) for the creative industry

CORDIS provides links to public deliverables and publications of HORIZON projects.

Links to deliverables and publications from FP7 projects, as well as links to some specific result types such as dataset and software, are dynamically retrieved from OpenAIRE .

Deliverables

Ethical/ security and safety issues concerning RPAS use in confined spaces (opens in new window)

Consists in a bibliographic (records and research articles) and hermeneutic (policy and legislation) document review. With the gathered information a proposal for a correct use of images and videos obtained by indoor RPAS cameras will be elaborated, which will be incorporated into the user manual itself of the RPAS commercial equipment This will provide sufficient information within the packaging (e.g. within the operating instructions) relating to the potential intrusiveness of these technologies and, where possible, of maps clearly identifying where their use is allowed.

CI’s needs for indoor filming using RPAS (opens in new window)

Clearhead will support UPV, and extract and analyse data and draw conclusion from key informants, which will be published to enhance its use by CIs (D2.1).

Report on results of demonstration (opens in new window)

Once technical validation passed, AiRT will be demonstrated in different settings, verifying that the objectives and needs elaborated in WP2 (Task2.1) are met. Results of demonstration and PAR activities will lead to D5.5.

Final Public Report (opens in new window)

Final Public Report (main project results, prepared and structured to facilitate wide public dissemination. It will be compliant with applicable EC rules and templates).

User guide (opens in new window)

Handbook (user guide) which explains proper use of AiRT RPAS.

Report on workshop conclusions (opens in new window)

A presentation Workshop about Aerial filming using RPAS–AiRT will be organized in Valencia by month 16, communicating the project specific objectives and predicted benefits for CI. This workshop will in addition serve to gather different points of view, giving space for critical discussion, which will be resumed in a document for dissemination purposes.

Communication materials, including newsletters, project related videos, project website and intranet (opens in new window)

Communication materials, including newsletters, project related videos, project website and intranet will lead to D6.2.

Project communication and dissemination plan (opens in new window)

A Project Communication & Dissemination Plan (PCDP) will be developed.

Policy book published as Copyright (opens in new window)

The objective is the development of a policy handbook on safe use of RPAS in indoor environments. After having evaluated the ethical/ security issues and risks of RPAS use inside closed spaces (T2.2 and 2.3), a policy on a best-practice model will be developed.

Data Management Plan (opens in new window)

The aim is to develop a Data Management Plan, which includes the guidelines and creative common rights for collecting, storing, handling and making accessible the project data. The Data Management Plan will be ready by month 6 of the project, and it will be revised after completion of Task 5.3 (month 15), to include updates and potential changes derived from the project implementation.
