Deliverables
T1.2 Adaptation of trap embedded electronics and firmware: The activities here will be focused in increasing reliability and robustness of trap embedded electronics and firmware. We will also integrate additional environmental sensors that will provide additional information about the conditions in the field and therefore increase the accuracy of predictive models.
D1.3 Market ready Self-cleaning mechanism (opens in new window)T1.3 Implementation of self-cleaning mechanism: The task encompasses the activities needed to bring the prototype to a market ready product feature. The implementation will be executed in three iterations, each introducing improvements identified during the operation evaluation and validation task (T 4.5).
D3.3 Adapted Trapview MOBILE application (opens in new window)The task includes all activities needed to include newly developed features and tools in the Trapview MOBILE application as well as developing new user interface/dashboard that would allow presentation of aggregated data to users.
D4.3 Operational network of traps created (opens in new window)T4.3 Installation and operational testing of trap network: Installation will be done by EFOS distributors and subcontractors under close supervision of EFOS staff, who will also execute the trap network operation testing of the traps remotely.
D3.2 Adapted Trapview WEB application (opens in new window)The task includes all activities needed to include newly developed features and tools in the Trapview WEB application as well as developing new user interface/dashboard that would allow presentation of aggregated data to users.
D1.1 Trap housing design with optimal trapping efficiency for Helicoverpa armigera (opens in new window)The adaptations and implementations of hardware components will be done in three iterations to ensure constant improvements identified during the trap network operation and validation activity (T 4.5) based on TQM principles. T1.1 Adaptation of trap housing design: Adaptations of existing trap housing design such as changing the shade of housing colour, changing the size of entry holes to optimize the trapping efficiency of the trap.
T7.1 Exhibitions at industry fairs: Exhibitions and agriculture industry fairs have been the main channels of business lead generation. We will continue to exhibit at the most important shows such as Fruit Logistica Berlin, ABIM Basel, Fruit Attraction Madrid, etc. as these shows are the main meeting point of growers, advisers and agrochemical companies.
D6.4 Marketing and promotional materials (opens in new window)T6.4 Promotion and marketing activities: Promotion and marketing activities will be closely related to Communication and dissemination work package and Sales activities, supporting them by preparing marketing and other supporting materials, making market communication policies and plans, supervising use of Trapview branding and corporate identity elements.
D7.2 3 specialized events organized for researchers and agriculture advisers (opens in new window)T7.2 Organizing events promoting good practices in insect monitoring: Because of the relatively fresh approach in agriculture, automated pest monitoring still needs to be widely recognized as a good practice. Therefore we will lead the way in opening the market with specialized events that will educate the importance of optimized and timely spraying by using automated insect monitoring.
D7.3 3 presentations at major industry conferences (opens in new window)T7.3 Attend and speak at conferences: One of our main goals is to position ourselves as leading opinion makers in automated insect monitoring. We are planning to achieve this with attending and actively contributing at specialized conferences. We want to influence the researchers and agriculture advisers to promote the best practices in insect monitoring.
D7.4 3 training courses for distributors and customers (opens in new window)T7.4 Distributor training: Creation of the network of traps is a complex task depending on the quality of trap installation. A close cooperation with existing and new distributors will be needed, therefore the distributor training is crucial for successful implementation of the trap network.
