The first version of the Deliverable is due in Month 12 and the final one in Month 36.

Strategic Science and Innovation Agenda underpinning the technical and organisational design of DANUBIUS-RI - final report

This document is among the most important ones in this project. There will be a double leadership for this deliverable (HZG and UOB) but all consortium members will be heavily involved in this agenda. The two leaders will join their efforts to coordinate all participants as well as to “process” and information received from several sources (e.g. science community, users, etc.). The team working in this task and subsequently for this deliverable will establish links with WP 5 and WP 6. First report is due in Month 24 and the final, updated version will be due in Month 36.

DANUBIUS-RI masters training programme module

This deliverable presents the framework of a master programme that will follow the DANUBIUS-RI scientific agenda. This will be delivered through DANUBIUS-RI and would be offered to current Masters / CPD programmes to enhance these courses and would see participants attend residential courses (knowledge transfer). This could be delivered as part of structured existing programmes summer schools or operationalised by ongoing EU initiatives. The Deliverable will be submitted in Month 33.

Metadata description and formalizing documentation procedures

The report will formalize the basic principles and requirements for metadata description (INSPIRE compatibility, keywords, geo-location and parameters are particularly important) and the quality of the resources stored. Where a community has an established methodology, it will be referred to. The report is due in Month 12.

Report on quality assurance procedures in the future DANUBIUS-RI

This Deliverable builds on the Deliverable 6.6 and – as the previous one - contains the categories of benchmarking relevant for DANUBIUS-RI (e.g. processes, technologies, products, cooperation and progress). A procedure will be developed to guarantee the permanent high quality of the RI outputs and their compatibility with other RIs. This procedure will also include a proposal for a methodology on how “high quality” and “excellence” are permanently checked and – when needed – upgraded. Besides this quality reviewing methodologies, the report will also include means of adding quality control methodologies for processes that may have not been included in the initial design of the RI. A procedure will be developed to guarantee that DANUBIUS-RI will integrate the impacts on European and local environmental policy into the whole process, from the establishment of the DANUBIUS-RI infrastructure to the operational phase. Means to measure and promote the impact of the RI on society and related policies will also be included. This Deliverable will be finished in Month 36.

Set of statutes for the legal entity

The Statutes of the future legal entity of DANUBIUS-RI will be drafted by the lawyers to be specifically employed by the consortium and modified / updated / tailored during several rounds of discussions with consortium members – funding agencies representatives. The statutes will be submitted in Month 32.

Communication reports

Communication reports refers to communication within the consortium. Such a large team can be managed only by ensuring constant communication among people and mediating – if it will be the case – some misfortunate events / discussion. The project coordinator (together with its coordination team) will ensure smooth communication and report to them as well as to the EC how these events where chaired / mediated / etc.

Report of the governance structure of the RI

The legal structure of DANUBIUS-RI will be decided by the members of the consortium after consultation of stakeholders (government representatives) from countries participating to this project. Keeping in mind that the members of an RI legal structure are NOT research organisations but countries consultation and visa from appropriate stakeholders (governments) is required.
