Summary of the context and overall objectives of the project

The UAV-Fuvex Blue Growth Project leaded by Fuvex Civil SL, was approved within the call for SME Instrument H2020, Topic SMEInst-08-2016-2017: Supporting SMEs efforts for the development-deployment and market replication of innovative solutions for blue growth, Call 2016-09-07.
The objectives that were set in the project were the following

1. Development, study and validation of two pilot projects within an operational context of maritime and coastal monitoring/surveillance.
2. Market studies and interviews, requirements and legislation by country, and validation of the business model and partnership strategy for the Project’s international expansion.
3. Road map of technology-product-market, and strategy for the management of intellectual property.
4. Definition of the Business Plan.

Work performed from the beginning of the project to the end of the period covered by the report and main results achieved so far

The UAV-Fuvex Blue Growth Project leaded by Fuvex Civil SL, was approved within the call for SME Instrument H2020, Topic SMEInst-08-2016-2017: Supporting SMEs efforts for the development-deployment and market replication of innovative solutions for blue growth, Call 2016-09-07.

The Project has been developed as planned, in terms of deadlines, budgets, actions, and results obtained.
The approval of the The UAV-Fuvex Blue Growth Project in Phase 1 of the SME Instrument program has been a catalyst for the company in the obtaining of new financing.
The promoters expect to demonstrate that Fuvex Civil SL will soon be an internationally recognized company within the field of technology, innovation, solutions and services for hybrid (airplane-multirotor) unmanned-drons- aircrafts and specific applications. We focus our business on the marine and coastal surveillance and control, and emergencies. We expect to generate in the future a significant number of high qualified jobs, as well as important economic surpluses.

Progress beyond the state of the art and expected potential impact (including the socio-economic impact and the wider societal implications of the project so far)

"Within the framework of the Feasibility Study, we have developed a Road Map of Technology-Products-Markets. We have planned and launched 9 different project pilots. We have identified three strategic R&D projects to be developed from 2017 to 2021. We have launched the MARVIN Project that aims to scale the Aircraft-Drone prototype and develop applications for targeted sectors.

The protection of intellectual property strategy is a key aspect in Fuvex's strategy. Fuvex owns 100% of an authorization of patent (PB2015 31576) of the SPTO, entitled ""Aerodyne Aircraft capFUVEX of vertical take-off and landing"". We have obtained the FTO “freedom-to-operate” report.

The use of the Fuvex solutions system will generate significant environmental impacts.

The company hopes a significant high level sales due to the technical and economic competitiveness of the system. On the other hand, the company plans to create 15 jobs directly and more than 25 indirectly, by manufacturing, subcontracting, commercial and support services activities.
