Resumen del contexto y de los objetivos generales del proyecto

Unfortunately the MATESI project did not take place as the appointed research fellow, Dr Hadi Rahemi, was unable to move to the UK to start the project.
Dr Rahemi was unable to leave the USA because he was awaiting the decision of his application for residency in the States. Upon exiting the US, he may have lost the application which would have meant that would not be able to visit his wife in the US, as re-entry to the US would have become impossible based on the legal and political situation (Dr Rahemi has dual citizenship of Iran & Canada).
