EC foil + power source + control

EC-foil with integrated power source and control. External critical components will be either monolithically integrated with the EC display, see D3.1 description, or hybrid integrated, e.g. conventional components integrated on plastic and/or HPL. This enables the realization of self-powered system. Simple methods for system control, e.g. push-buttons etc., are to be introduced and integrated with the system, monolithic.

EC foil + integrated connectors

EC-foil with integrated electrical connectors. Electrical connectors are integrated monolithically with the EC display, e.g. printed/manufactured on the same substrate possible in multi-layered configuration. Electrical connectors enable the connection of the element to external power source and control. Monolithic EC display with the electric connectors can be used as an insert in injection moulding or HPL process enabling electrical connection inside the moulded display. Reliability and usability of different connectors between the integrated system and external critical components.

Current state EC devices delivery

Delivery of EC films and devices using available EC materials to early implementation in T2.3, T2.4 and for internal dissemination. YNV, FRAU and COC will produce Monochromatic electrochromic films using their existing EC technologies. Additionally, a wooden bed headboard with a sleep data display will be created. Both items will be fully functional, containing, or linking to wellbeing monitoring systems, and will be evaluated over several months of usage.

Racket display

Racquet display. An electrochromic display will be integrated into a racquet or similar piece of sporting equipment. The display will be linked to an embedded control system and connected wirelessly to other sensors. The display of different data will be explored, e.g. stroke power, angle of impact, position of impact.
