Periodic Reporting for period 1 - We teach to walk (The Prodrobot authomatized gait trainer software developement and the EU market research)

Our company and our portfolio should be developed. To do this, we decided to apply for H2020 SME Phase I. During the project the following goals were defined:
(1) In-depth assessment of market inside the EU and outside (eastern Europe and Bulgaria) – The market analysis including opportunities and threats were done.
(2) Detailed business plan for phase II – we prepare the business plan for next 2 years
(3) Key markets identification, including partner selection – We found new potential partners and expand our previous cooperation with reliable partner.
(4) Establish contact with one, or two leading west European universities to validate of our product – we contacted 3 institutions interested in cooperation
(5) Secure our Intellectual Property in minimum 10 target countries according to its national procedures. This task will be subcontracted to specialized IP lawyer to improve our strategy to protect IP worldwide – during the project we sent application for a patent to European Patent Office
(6) Translation of operating software and written information of product into 26 languages (23 EU languages, Norwegian, Turkish, Russian) – The translations were done.
If our products will be more popular, more children will have simpler possibility of use innovative therapy to make their lives better and easier.
During the project the following activities were conducted:
(1) In-depth assessment of market inside the EU and outside (eastern Europe and Bulgaria) – We collect a lot of information and data during international events and meetings with our parnters or possible partners. We use also the internet and other sources of information.
(2) Detailed business plan for phase II – we prepare the business plan and because of new possibilities we chose new priorities to further development and we consider to apply for phase II SME with strong partner from western Europe.
(3) Key markets identification, including partner selection – We found new potential partners (detailed data in the Technical report 1b. Feasibility Study), and we started cooperation with them inside and outside of the European Union. We also expand our previous cooperation with reliable partner. We decided together which markets will be developed in next 12 months and in the distant future. Events and trade fairs were our usual places of meetings.
(4) Establish contact with one, or two leading west European universities to validate of our product – The coach and we tried to contact some universities and scientific organization to propose cooperation with testing our product. We suppose, we found 1-3 partners in western Europe who are interested in together work on our project in development, laboratory testing and validation.
(5) Secure our Intellectual Property in minimum 10 target countries according to its national procedures. This task will be subcontracted to specialized IP lawyer to improve our strategy to protect IP worldwide – during the project we sent application for a patent to European Patent Office according to the opinion accompanying the search report and we extended patent in Poland. We still plan to patent our product in the 10 key European markets.
(6) Translation of operating software and written information of product into 26 languages (23 EU languages, Norwegian, Turkish, Russian) – The translation office and our team worked on translation of software and other written information related like users manual and leaflets. We have several dozen files with translations.
This project allowed us better prepare to develop our selling strategy. We learn more about market feedback. We know in which direction our technical developement shoud be directed. After implementing all our ideas, disabled people should have more therapeutic possibilities in their local environment.
