Scattering Amplitudes: from Geometry to Experiment

Deliverables

Kick-off workshop

The workshop will be composed by a scientific part followed by an organisational part. It will comprise a supervisor training workshop as well.

Third SAGEX training workshop

This is the third SAGEX training workshop, which will take place online due to travel restrictions related to Covid-19. It will be accompanied by soft skills training in Entrepreneurship and Career Planning Inside and Outside of Academia.

Amplitudes 2021

2021 edition of the Amplitudes conference series, at NBI. This will take place in August 2021 (month 36), with the report on the event delivered in month 37.The report of the meeting will be submitted (agenda, presentations, summary of the results, etc).

Amplitudes 2019

2019 edition of the Amplitudes conference at TCD. Assuming starting date of the project as September 2018 this will be month 11. The report of the meeting will be submitted (agenda, presentations, summary of the results, etc).

SAGEX closing workshop

The closing workshop of the SAGEX collaboration, at QMUL.

Maple and Mathematica school

Maple and Mathematica school organised by CEA Saclay to be completed by end of month 30.

Second SAGEX training school and workshop

Second SAGEX training school, to take place at Humboldt University Berlin in month 19. Includes soft skills training. It will be followed by a scientific workshop at the same institution.

First SAGEX training school and workshop

This is the first SAGEX training school, to take place at DESY Hamburg in month 9. Includes soft skills training. It will followed by a scientific workshop at the same institution.

SAGEX young researchers amplitudes workshop

This is the young researchers amplitudes workshop, organised by and for the ESRs specifically, to be held in Copenhagen in conjunction with the Amplitudes 2021 international conference.

Online outreach exhibition plan

In collaboration with Milde Marketing, we plan to develop an online exhibition on “Amplitudes and collider experiments”. It will explain, using a custom-built web app and a range of video and game content, the physics and mathematics of amplitudes and their connections to accelerator physics, thereby spanning the full range of topics of SAGEX. It will be accessible to a wide audience and will have longevity beyond the lifetime of the SAGEX. The exhibition will be designed such that content could easily be presented in-person, should opportunities at science festivals arise in the future. We will create a jargon-free, electronic leaet to be distributed in order to promote the online exhibition. At M24 the plan will be submitted. In this deliverable the whole activity will be described and a schedule will be provided. The final results of the actitity will be reported in the second periodic report.

Review article on amplitudes

A comprehensive and pedagogical review on scattering amplitudes written by members of SAGEX

ESR positions advertised

Advertising ESR positions as specified in the proposal and in Euraxess (as is the contractual obligation).

The “Amplitudes.org” repository

A comprehensive open-access repository of materials produced by the collaboration including lectures and Mathematica/Maple notebooks set up. This will constitute the legacy of SAGEX after its end.

SAGEX website

SAGEX website public including the online Forum for the communication between the stakeholders.
