Impact of air pollutants on cutaneous responses in both healthy and compromised skin barrier, and innovative solutions to protect skin against urban pollution

Deliverables

Awarding of doctoral degree - ESR2

The research assignment is intended to result in a scientific thesis either at UNIFE (ESR2) or UNIFR (ESR1 & ESR3). A copy of the PhD thesis will be made available to the PO.

Impact of cigarette smoke in combination with UV radiation on SC biomechanical properties in both healthy and atopic skin models

Report on research activities performed by ESR2 to understand the impact of cigarette smoke on skin biomechanical properties

Awarding of doctoral degree - ESR1

The research assignment is intended to result in a scientific thesis either at UNIFE (ESR2) or UNIFR (ESR1 & ESR3). A copy of the PhD thesis will be made available to the PO.

Awarding of doctoral degree - ESR3

The research assignment is intended to result in a scientific thesis either at UNIFE (ESR2) or UNIFR (ESR1 & ESR3). A copy of the PhD thesis will be made available to the PO.

Impact of diesel/gasoline exhaust in combination with UV radiation on SC biomechanical properties in both healthy and atopic skin models

Report on research activities performed by ESR3 to understand the impact of diesel/gasoline exhaust on skin biomechanical properties

Impact of ozone in combination with UV radiation on SC biomechanical properties in both healthy and atopic skin models

Report on research activities performed by ESR1 to understand the impact of ozone on skin biomechanical properties

Workshop on Effects of Pollution on Healthy and Damaged Skin

Three specific 2-day workshops will be organised during the project. The workshops will consist in plenary lessons as well as poster/podium sessions specifically dedicated to young researchers (PhD students) beyond the 3 ESRs involved in this project. Although the two workshops related to molecular biology will be led by the two academic beneficiaries (UoF & UNIFR), DCE will host the workshop related to polymer chemistry

"Scientific publication ESR3 #2"

Data dissemination in international peer-reviewed journals (at least 2 publications per ESR)

"Scientific publication ESR1 #2"

Data dissemination in international peer-reviewed journals (at least 2 publications per ESR)

"Scientific publication ESR1 #1"

Data dissemination in international peer-reviewed journals (at least 2 publications per ESR)

Advertisement of ESR position (including EURAXESS)

Advertisements with broad description of knowledge and competencies will be published widely and internationally (via electronic job postings) including on the European portal EURAXESS. Working conditions and entitlements, including career development prospects, will be part of the advertisements. The recruitment strategy will be based on open, efficient and transparent procedures, in line with “The Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researcher”. All applications fulfilling the position description will be taken into consideration independently of the gender, age, and nationality of the applicant.

"Scientific publication ESR3 #1"

Data dissemination in international peer-reviewed journals (at least 2 publications per ESR)

"Scientific publication ESR2 #2"

Data dissemination in international peer-reviewed journals (at least 2 publications per ESR)
