Objective

Industrial scale cultivation of two Mediterranean species sole (Solea Solea and Solea senegalensis) will be carried out for the first time in the temperature regime of the South European seas. Two culture methods will be applied, intensive in an open flow-through concrete raceway system, and semi-intensive in sandy bottom coastal lagoonal systems in the area of Messolonghi. Methods and systems in both cases will be planned and constructed in an environmentally sound way, using modern aquaculture
