Boosting European citizens knowledge and awareness of bioeconomy

Deliverables

Report on innovative Outreach and Awareness Activities (opens in new window)

Based on T3.4, each Hub will organize a minimum of three different outreach activities that specifically target two-way open dialog in their region (and/or) in big cities:

Communication framework, targeting awareness, education and training and network extension (opens in new window)

The identification and evaluation of best practice examples of communication strategies of different target audiences including the identification of barriers and drivers its implementation.

BLOOMer working plan (opens in new window)

The main scope and functionalities of the BLOOMer platform.

Roadmap and Synthesis of hubs (opens in new window)

Setting up of five communities of practice (hubs) who will efficiently function as nucleus which concentric effects on roadmap and state of the art status, the outreach activities on awareness, network extension and education as well as on the exploitation. This deliverable is dedicated to form these hubs and place the nucleus in the respective region and the involvement of their cities.

Report on international and national teacher train-ings (opens in new window)

Report on teacher training where teachers shared their experiences, lessons learned difficulties, ideas and possible suggestions related to the use of the bio economy teaching resources.

Monitoring instruments (opens in new window)

Report on methodologies with quantitative and qualitative instruments will be elaborated to provide a unified approach for data collection throughout the project

MOOC development and outreach report (opens in new window)

Report on BLOOM MOOC focusing on bio economy and the use of the developed teaching resources will be developed and integrated in the EUN Academy, an established platform where teachers learn about innovation in the school and classroom through online professional development courses.

Creation of bio economy teaching resources for schools by experts and teachers that will iteratively shape concepts, tools and artefacts, which will be part of the envisioned teaching resources.

Policy Brief on Concept of public engagement in bioeconomy (opens in new window)

The policy brief will define the global and local definitions and recommend future roles of civil society actors, consumers and future ‘prosumer’ for product design and effective engaged and responsible research and innovation in the bioeconomy sector. This deliverable will also deliver concepts on how to connect education, Industry and general public – way to inform the general public based on the experiences and results of the co-creation workshops, covering the full value chain.

Validation report on outreach activities and other activities of BLOOM.

Bioeconomy mapping report (opens in new window)

Overview of the bioeconomy in its full breadth based on the flow of production and conversion within the biobased economy. This overview helps to ensure that BLOOM will address all relevant aspects of the bioeconomy. It aims further to identify content, initiatives and other national, international and EC-funded projects which have developed knowledge and/or dialogue materials about bio economy for various stakeholders.

School competition framework (opens in new window)

Framework on the BLOOM online competition for teachers and students that will be organized aiming to reward the most creative and innovative classroom implementations using the project’s teaching resources in the 4 respective categories. The report will contain all competition related materials including guidelines for teachers’ submissions.

Evaluation strategy (opens in new window)

Report on the evaluation strategy, focusing on what questions have to be addressed and with which evaluation instruments they should be effectively measured (qualitative or quantitative methods). The strategy will also formulate monitoring criteria which are structured along the main objectives.

Plan and Strategy of Dissemination defining the full range of stakeholders, adapted messages, tools and means for communication and the liaison with other projects and initatives.

The theoretical communication framework will be evolved further to a practical guidebook on engagement and co-creation methodologies will be provided to allow hub members to choose the most appropriate for their national focus on raising awareness for bioeconomy

Set of bioeconomy multimedia exhibition materials (opens in new window)

This deliverable will produce multimedia materials which can be used for the outreach events in the hubs. An initial package of materials will be produced on reliable information on bioeconomy that will initiate knowledge gain and awareness. Inputs and ideas from co-creation workshops will enrich the material and along with the requirements and identified best practice outreach materials, extended versions will be publicly accessible on the BLOOMer platform disseminated.

Compilation of stakeholder targeted materials - first version (opens in new window)

This task edits the identified content of task 1.1. for the targeted stakeholder groups as identified (see WP 3). This baseline carries out the current state of development. It compiles results of previous studies and integrates actual statements of different stakeholders on these issues.
