Change detection techniques in Earth Observation

D4.1 [Lead: CERTH; due M16; contribution: MS3] Change detection techniques in Earth Observation: D4.1 reports the methodology and the research outputs in change detection techniques that are employed in EOPEN. The techniques are adapted to and examined in each use case scenario of EOPEN, aiming to present a complete analysis of the most suitable change detection techniques in the monitoring of floods, climate changes and food security, from Earth Observation imagery.

D2.1 [Lead: FMI; due M3; contribution: MS1] Use case design report: A comprehensive document illustrating in a verbose as well as formal (UML) way the different use cases foreseen by the project and the relevant user/data/system requirements.

These techniques will support the advanced search capabilities of EOPEN, towards a user-friendly access to EO data via the EOPEN search engine.

Target operating decision-making model (TOM)

D2.4 [Lead: SERCO; due M35; contribution: MS5] Target operating decision-making model (TOM): A report detailing how each use case COM has translated into a high level TOM, then the Delta mapping between COM and TOM creating the detailed TOM. This is a living document across project the life, reviewed at each pilot reviewed and updated pre/post each pilot.

D3.3 [Lead: CERTH; due M32; contribution: MS5] EOPEN Social Media Crawlers: A report describing the social media and web crawling tools, their operation and their outputs. This deliverable also describes the advances in EO and meteorological data acquisition that have not been reported in D3.1 and D3.2.

The EOPEN ontology and semantic reasoning support

D5.1 [Lead: CERTH; due M19; contribution: MS4] The EOPEN ontology and semantic reasoning support: The requirements for the population of the EOPEN ontology and an initial version of the semantic reasoning techniques are described in D5.1, along with a roadmap to the linking of open EO and non-EO data.

Meteorological and climatological data acquisition report

D3.2 [Lead: FMI; due M26; contribution: MS4] Meteorological and climatological data acquisition report: This document presents the state-of-the-art methodology in collecting meteorological and climatological data and the techniques, as approached in EOPEN.

Linked open EO data

D5.3 [Lead: SPACEAPPS; due M33; contribution: MS5] Linked open EO data will describe the mapping between the metadata of the EO products required by the use cases and their Linked Data compliant representation. The corresponding R2RML mapping definitions will be provided in annex.

Semantic reasoning for decision making

D5.2 [Lead: CERTH; due M33; contribution: MS5] Semantic reasoning for decision making: D5.2 is the final report on the populated EOPEN ontology, the associated linked open data and the semantic reasoning techniques that support the decision making process of EOPEN and the generated notifications for the end user.

D7.1 [Lead: NOA; due M20; contribution: MS3] Pilots implementation and 1st prototype evaluation report presents the evaluation report of the 1st prototype

Evaluation of the final system and field demonstrations

D7.4 [Lead: AAWA; due M36; contribution: MS5] Evaluation of the final system and field demonstrations: A report illustrating how to deploy and validate the technologies for each pilot, together with a set of recommendations emerging from the pilot demonstration. This deliverable includes also the final demonstrations that will showcase the EOPEN functionalities.

Change, event and community detection techniques

D4.4 [Lead: CERTH; due M33; contribution: MS5] Change, event and community detection techniques: D4.2 describes the concept extraction and event detection techniques from non-EO data, Social Media and Web information, that are used to support decision making in EOPEN. In addition, this document reports the community detection techniques and the methods to identify and visualise user accounts that act as key-players. The final results of the change detection techniques are also reported in D4.4.
