A detailed plan describing all protocols for patient management during experiments and how they will be recruited Preliminary reports are foreseen at M1 M17 and the final deliverable at M30

This report shall include multiple disciplinary perspectives on technological and legal risks of connected neural interfaces

EXTEND technological specifications

A document containing all the technological specifications that are needed for EXTEND The report will be preliminary released at M6 and then updated in a final version at M30

The web page httpwwwneurointerfacehuborg will be ready and continuously updated with information about topics related to implanted neural interfaces from around the world Accounts in Twitter LinkedIn Facebook and YouTube will be created and constantly updated to promote the content of the website

External systems for human feasibility trials

The demonstrator will consist of 3 desktop units and 3 portable units M24

Bidirectional interfacing methods for multiple sites stimulation/sensing

In four issues, the demonstrator will consist of: a) Software and hardware for communication in a small (4 units) network of intramuscular electrodes with human testing (M5). b) Communication system for small network of implant prototypes (laboratory testing, no human implants) (M15), c) Communication system for large network of implant prototypes (laboratory testing, no human implants) (M24), d) Final bidirectional communication system and test in humans (M36)

Pre-ASIC implant circuits with EMG capabilities

The demonstrator will consist of 100 units of implant circuits with EMG capabilities (M12).

Injectable implants pre-ASIC and external systems for animal experimentation

The demonstrator will consist of 30 units of injectable implants and 4 external systems M18

Implants containing the developed ASIC

The demonstrator will consist of 50 ASIC implants (M24).

Sterilized implants for human feasibility trials

The demonstrator will consist of 30 sterilized units ready for human proofofconcept trials M30

Workshop on ethics, law and policy on human enhancement technologies

A workshop will be organised to discuss on the results obtained from the multidisciplinary analyses on human enhancement technologies First workshop at M24 and a second workshop at M36

Project web page, related social media

The web page (http://www.extendproject.eu) will be ready, and continuously updated with information about project objectives, dissemination activities scientific publications. Accounts in Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube will be created and constantly updated to promote the content of the website.
