Objective
This project aims to design and fabricate a new fully passive microelectromechanical (MEM) wake-up receiver to be used in next-generation wireless sensing nodes. The metric for success will be to achieve the figures that are given by preliminary simulations (see later in the text). Specifically, this would be near-zero stand-by power (Psb<1 pW,DC) and ultra-low threshold power (Pth<-50 dBm,RF). Both of these values are orders of magnitude lower than what demonstrated through current state of the art WURs based on solid-state components.
